Recognized for her warm, lyric soprano voice, Celeste Tavera has performed in the United States and Europe. Winner of several international awards including the Metropolitan Opera National Contest in New York and the International Bellini Contest in Italy, Ms. Tavera is a versatile performer of concert, Broadway, and commercial music.

Her recording credits range from several albums of soprano arias with Yamaha Pianosoft to the world premiere recording of an opera by Michael Roth; her concert experience includes singing as the guest soloist with groups such as the Los Angeles Master Chorale and festivals such as the Newport Music Festival in Rhode Island, as well as performing several concerts in Italy with acclaimed tenor José Carreras; and her stage appearances range from Kismet to Carmen, from Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore) to Gilda (Rigoletto), with companies such as Santa Barbara Grand Opera, Michigan Opera, Long Beach Opera, and New York City Opera with whom she sang Susanna for their national tour, including a Cable television broadcast of the production.
